Thank you for visiting my website.

My name is Sarah, I am a paper artist Living in Kent.

I have a huge love for all wildlife so most of my work is based around that, However I have also done classic cars, Wedding photos and flowers.

Recently, I have taken up photography to use my own photographs for my artwork.

Paper cutting started as a hobby for me over ten years ago. Over the last few years I’ve been donating them to various animal charities for fundraising.

Each piece starts out with a photograph. Which is then split into the number of layers I want to work with. The layers will vary as to how much detail I can get into the piece.

Each layer is then printed onto the sheets of hammered paper, afterwards I will then start drawing on to add and remove pieces for highligts etc.

Then the fun starts, with cutting each layer out by hand with a scalpel and glueing down before starting on the next layer.

Every Photo is only used to make one piece of art, Making them truly unique.

Have a photograph you would like turned into one of my cuts? It could be possible. For more information use the contact me.

I have a few slots available for 2024

In June 2021, I saw on social media an art competition which also raised awareness and funds for conservation around the world.

Explorers against extinction Sketch for survival 2021.

I went out of my comfort zone and I decided to enter, not thinking I would stand a chance with all the other amazing art that had been entered already from all over the world.

In September I was shortlisted to the final 12 for Wildlife 100 artist of the year. Then in November I found out I had won
Achilles was in the OXO gallery in London before being auctioned off to raise money for the 21 projects across the world.

Sigit the Silvery Gibbon was one of my entries into David Shepherd’s Wildlife Artist of the Year 2022

He was lucky enough to make it to the Final, where he was then sold with 50% being donated back to the charity.

Abou is a Shoebill Stork and was one of my entries into David Shepherd’s Wildlife Artist of the Year 2023

I’m Thrilled to annouce that Abou won the wings category and will be in the Mall Galleries in London from the 12th – 16th September. Pleased to say she sold which means the foundation received 50% of the sale price.

My smaller, face on Abou was entered into Explorers Against Extinction’s Sketch for Survival this year, and I am thrilled to say she was shorlisted for the final, then one of the runners up, with some lovely comments from the judges.

Abou will be on show in in Edinburgh, Dundas Street Gallery, in October and the OXO Gallery in London in November 2023.

All pieces will be auctioned off with all money raised going to the supported projects.
